Second Flag = Content of the product is Manufactured in the USA
Just because a product is assembled in the US does not mean that the parts or pieces that make up that product are manufactured in the US. We will try to denote by the Flag in Second position if the content or parts that make up a product are made in America. A car may have 75% US content. That means that 75% of the parts cost of that car were manufactured in the US. This lets you know as a consumer which companies are sourcing the most US content for their products. Third Flag = The Company is Incorporated in the USA
If you see an American Flag in the Third position, that is a designation that the company is incorporated in the US. There have been several companies that have changed their Country of Incorporation away from America and to some off shore country. This has typically been done to avoid or mitigate taxes in the United States of America or to minimize some other corporate liability. We want you to be able to see and know the companies that have held true to the Country where they were founded and the People who got them started and made them successful.
